Imminent release
Hi everyone :)
Its been a long time coming but Iridium will be launching early next week. We have launched a new demo build today which included the first three stages of level 1. Give it a try and let us know what you thing.
Instructions
Frontend
Use left and right to cycle through the frontend pages. Use up and down to control the speed of any scroll text. Pressing fire will take you straight to the main menu.
Player controls
At the top of the screen there are four coloured bars:
GREEN displays ships health
BLUE displays shield strength
YELLOW displays charge status
RED displays the number of rocket available
The bottom of the screen displays:
Score multiplayer chain enemies for high scores!
Current Score and total collected coins
Upgrades current ship upgrade options
Turbo status available when the ship icon is animating
Number of lives are displayed at the bottom right
The Game
During the game holding the fire button will charge the main weapon. Rockets recharge and are best used in large salvos. While changing direction the players ship is harder to hit.
There are icons displayed around the edge of the screen showing the location of nearby enemies, incoming threats and most importantly a flashing RED and YELLOW star. The star shows where the next target is located and needs to be destroyed. Along the top of the screen a message is shown describing the current task that needs completing. Destroyed enemy ships will occasionally drop health or shield bonuses. Some ground targets when destroyed will release upgrade credits. Most enemies will drop coins that can be spent in between level upgrade shop. Completing a stage will award the player with bonus points
